Spring

recently, we passed march 21
the official first day of spring
warm weather came fast to wear i live, the sun was hot, the sky blue and i was very happy.
yet not, as i see myself 2 days away from easter, it is pouring, gray and dark, and the weather is not going to be nice for the holidays.
soooooo thanks weather

anyway, i decided to put myself into misery and look at some beautiful pictures of flowers and other that remind me of spring

lets hope that it comes soon

aren't these pictures just breathtaking? it makes me want to grab a camera and just start snapping away
which, of course, i can't do
so i hope with all my heart that the sun decides to come out soon because i am very sick of this weather

i hope you all have a very blessed easter and i'll try to put up a post asap

Starting a tag?

hey everyone
just a few days ago i posted something titled "summer bucket list" and it got me thinking.
and i thought

maybe i should start a TAG?

and so, after some thinking i thought that i'd give it a go

so..... i present to you.....

THE SUMMER BUCKET LIST TAG

i apologize that this gif is kinda flashy but i find it so cool

what is a bucket list? it's a list of things you want to do before you die, or as the name says "hit the bucket" in this tag, you mention all the things you want to accomplish in summer of 2015!

So how do this work?

I nominate ANYONE that is reading this post, whether they have a blog or not. BUT if you do have a blog, here's what you do!

Rules:

1. Write 15 things that you want to do this summer (if you can't think of 15 that's ok) and publish it in a post.

2. Insert this picture

3. Nominate 4 other people to do the tag.

5. HAVE FUN!

i thought this would be a great way to start a new "trend" in the blogging world and a fun way for bloggers to connect :)

i hope you consider doing this and let me know if you do it, cuz i'd LOVE to read your lists!

peace out

Summer Bucketlist

hey guys!

i know it's only march, but i can't help myself and dream about this summer. i have been thinking about it, well, a little too much and let's just say, i'm SUPER excited!!! i always wanted to make one, so i sat down a few weeks ago and wrote a "summer bucket list" of things i want to do this summer. i am sure this list will continue over the next few months, but here is whats on my list so far!

sun "tattoo"

go on a rollercoaster

read as much of the bible as possible

visit my best friend
learn to cook something new

try a new food

learn to cartwheel

sew someting

bake a batch of cupcakes and decorate them lavishly

start a  summer buisness

go on a shopping spree

take lots of pictures

document a trip

stay up all night

watch the stars

go on a long bike trip

blog a lot

read lots

create a summer scrapbook

go on a picnic

plant something and watch it grow

so yeah
that's what's on my bucket list so far
also in case you were wondering by the first one, i by all means am NOT getting a tattoo! what it means is i'll add a sticker somewhere on my body while tanning and after some time the only part of my body that is still pale is the shape of the sticker :) pretty cool idea huh?
anyway, i am literally counting the days down to summer and i'm sure this list will grow!
what do you want to accomplish this summer?
love,

Knowledge

let's face it
one cannot indulge in a dark chocolate muffin and a cold glass of milk (although i am not a huge fan of milk itself with any kind of muffin it's just...mmm) and not overthink about life.

just recently, i found myself thinking about school, and how everyday i wake up at 6:30 and rush around getting ready, heading out the door at 7:00 and waiting with my brother for our ride, losing myself in music for the next 45 minutes and then sitting restlessly in class till i come back home, spend the rest of the evening doing homework, and then find myself trying to get to sleep only to find that yet another long day of the same routine is ahead of me.
and as i was thinking about this, i realized that my outlook on this whole "school life" in not very positive.

lovely picture "stolen" from this amazing blog
i have spent the last six months in a new school, lucky enough to already surrouned myself with over 10 amazing friends already. not only that, but im priviliged enough to go to a CHRISTIAN school, and every monday we have a 45 minute class were we talk about God, the Bible and strengthening our faith. last class, a woman who goes on mission trips to Kenya where she helps children that live in poverty came and talked to us about her job.
as we watched a short movie and presentation, she told us about how for them, school was a privilage. these children would wake up at sunrise, walk long distances and come back at 5:00 pm every day to get an education in a small mud hutt. and they loved it. they knew it was there only way for a better life.

and i realized,
why don't I have such a a positive outlook on my school life? why do i spend my time complaining about how pointless chemistry will be in my life, because really, only God knows if i'll need it or not.

point is, i'm not saying i will jump out of bed at 6:00 in the morning every single day and NOT look forward to summer. some things never change, obviously. what i'm trying to tell myself is that maybe i should try to stay more positive even if i find myself crying over rock formations at 10:00 pm as i hoplessly try to study for my geography test.

and yeah, it's gonna be hard. but just like those children i need to think of it as a slow way of getting a better life, because where would i be if i couldn't read or write?
nowhere, and deffinately not writing this post.

i hope you don't mind this random post and i'll have a good one up next week :)

have a great week,

Monday

Winter

white
weightless
silent
snow
blankets the trees
and tickles children's noses
causing ripples of laughter
to echo throughout the woods
the older ones
stay inside
warming themselves
with cups of coffee and tea
reminiscing the times
when they themselves
would chatter and have meaningless
conversations
with the snow creature
they had spent hours creating

yeah that was kind of a cheesy poem. i came to conclusions just recently that i really don't like capital letters. i hope that doesn't bother you too much >_<

the picture on the right doesn't have much to do with this post but i thought my sweater looked funky next to the keyboard...hehe.

i was thinking i really want to start up a "series" on this blog,

something that i post of like, once every so often or something. if you have any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.

i've been thinking and i'm quite excited go get back into the swing of things with blogging but i just wanted to warn ya'll (nat who you trying to kind, it ain't funny) that once i get back to school, because i'm sick atm :( i will probably be posting less, hopefully once a week...??
not sure yet

thanks for reading!

Recent Whereabouts

Hello world

This week has been quite busy for me. Monday we drove up to the lakes where I live and stayed in my dad's bosses house until Wednesday afternoon. There was a lot of snow and it was so beautiful. The funny thing is, I do not get to enjoy a fireplace at home, as the building is not designed for one, and let me just say, sitting by the fireplace in the wooden cottage with snow falling and music playing through my earphones was really calming.

Thursday I finally got to visit my old school and followed one of my friends around to her classes. Although I do like my new school very much, I have realized that I do miss my old school, or at least the people. It was wonderful seeing everyone since I hadn't seen most of the people since June! Lots of hugs, and "HI's!" were shared, it was a great experiance.

Thursday after school I went to sleepover at the same friend's house and we watched movies, talked, had an ice cream feast and just hung out. That was also amazing.

Friday, later in the evening, I realized that my throat was feeling sore. Trying to calm myself down, I got into the bath and watched some Lord of the rings and continued it in bed with some tea and mandarines to try and get rid of any bacteria in my throat.

This morning I woke up with swelled up tonsils and a headache. Just great. I have spent the day really only half-alive and have only eaten mandarines, vitamin c pills and a bunch of slices of random pastries that my mom bought.

Currently? I am sitting yet again in my bed watching the 3rd LOTR and freaking out about the fact that I can't find my geography homework and have absolutely no idea how to do my physics and chemistry assignments.

The past two weeks I have been on
break and Monday it's time to go back to school, whoopee (not)
I'm praying that I will be feeling better by then.

Now excuse me for this terrible rant and stream of random pictures, I'm not in the best mood at the moment and am starting to get anxious about that homework of mine....

I will have a better post up soon!

Thanks for reading :)

Something Great

(Wow Tal you're ACTUALLY taking the time to blog! Let's hear the round of applause)

So just recently, I decided to make some sugar cookies.
And ok, they didn't actually turn out all that great but that's a TOTALLY different story.

While baking, I kind of got in to "deep thought" mode, while my "Annie" album blasted from the computer. I danced around the kitchen making sure everything was going well, the chocolate melting, the butter softening. And while these "deep thoughts" racked through my brain, it kinda got me thinking.

In a totally weird if, you could kinda say us humans, well, we're like cookies, or anything else that you bake for that matter.

We're made up of all these things, some not as good as others. Creativity, talent, joy, anger, sadness. All feelings and emotions we experiance at SOME point in our life, right? Well they're all part of US, like ingredients.

And of course, who would expect salt could actually go into something sweet, right? Well how is anger a good feeling? Sometimes, if used in the right way, it can do good things. Like seeing someone get bullied, we get angry and go to stand up for that person.

And as we grow and get older, we become better people (or at least we try to!) and slowly we turn into something amazing, don't we? Just like cookies...

Well, I hope I didn't bore you with my weird ramblings but that will probably be a common occurrence on this blog.

How about listen to "Maybe" from the 2014 version of "Annie" as it currently playing while I am typing this post?
Thanks for reading ._.

Have a fantastic day :)

Best Blogging Buddies Award

Hey guys!
Let's be honest
I'm a failure at blogging. I meant to blog in the summer a lot, and it's 2015
*facepalm*
Well, at least I post occasionally...right? right? *starts to sob*
Anyway, my friend Autumn (who has the best blog in the world) who designed this FABULOUS blog, awarded me :)

RULES:

- You must make a post to show your award on your main blog.
- You must tag the person who nominated you in your post (also take the cute owl on the left with you!).
- You must nominate all of your best buddies, and those whom you want to become best buddies with, who, to your knowledge, have not been nominated for this award.
- You must ask your buddies at least 15 questions in your post.
- You must answer all of the questions your buddies ask you on your post.

Questions:

1.      Have a night out or evening in?
I really do enjoy going out so, night out.

2.      What is your favorite memory?
I could never choose one. I will always remember one night when my best friend and I stayed up till sunrise talking (5am), and then we slept for two hours. Another great memory is when I stayed after school with a bunch of friends and we performed at a parent meeting and then hung around talking, eating candy and playing bingo. I also think back nicely to when my friend and I ran panting into the movie theater, two minutes late for "Annie". Thankfully we didn't miss anything, I've seen the movie twice now and absolutely adore it <3 I think memories are very important in life and I can't choose one!

3.      What does your perfect day look like?

Nice weather, quite hot. Perfect outfit and hair, spent at the beach with my favorite people <3, lot's of chocolate, fairy lights, and fireworks at midnight. Also a shopping spree and some time on rollercoasters would be nice. I know, I'm very cliche

4.      If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
This is a smart question that I have no idea how to answer. I think the World War II era is very interesting, but obviously heartbreaking as well and it would be interesting to go back in time and try to stop some things from happening.

5.      What would you like to eat for your last meal?
Cookie dough ice cream, a few bars of chocolate, Mc'donald's french fries and even though I've just become a vegetarian, a Big Mac, cuz it's kind of a tradition between me and my best friend :)

6.      What has been your best moment this year? (so far)
Not much has happened, but my best friend and I haven't seen each other since July and we found out she's coming to visit me (she moved to another country) in February. We're counting down the days and I was just so thrilled when I found out :)

7.      Worst gift  you ever received?
I honestly am not quite sure. I guess if I had to say something, my friend once bought me eyeshadow for my 6th birthday. It's still sitting in my closet and I haven't used it as surely now it's a hotel for bugs.

8.      Favorite song lyric?
This is a very hard one. I find that songs are very meaningful because of the lyrics. A picture I've often seen is

I think this is quite deep to be honest.
But a lyric I've really been loving at the moment is from the movie "Annie", the 2014 remake.
"I wanna start again, so I look within, remember what I wanted. Cuz I don't know who I've become..."

9.      If you were given a day without any of you everyday responsibilities, what would you do that day?
I'd meet up with my friends and go on a shopping spree, and then to some restuarant and drive to the beach (it would take forever hehe) and then just watch the sunset and talk. You see the thing is I kind of have an obsession with beaches and sunsets..oops.

10.  Describe yourself in 3 words
Judging by actions of others, I guess I could call myself funny. I often find that my comments create a ripple of laughter when in class. stop trying to brag natalia. I guess I could call myself organized, to a certain point. I hate when my room is messy and try to clean it ASAP. I also keep an agenda where I write down all my homework neatly and I countdown stuff through an app, keep lots of notebooks...yeah you get what I'm trying to say it. I have no idea what you would call this, but I'm quite good with kids. I love to play with them, I'm understanding and have a lot of patience.
that was a hard one

11.  What's a skill you'd like to learn and why?
I really want to learn to cartwheel. I often find myself in situations where I am so happy, and would love to just cartwheel through the hallway or down the sidewalk but for now, I've had to stick to jumping, hehe. Let's hope Summer 2015 will be the year ;)

12.  Describe the perfect pizza
Lots of cheese and slices of pineapple.

13.  What question do you hate to answer?
"Favorite song" I'm a music lover and my earphones are in pretty much 24/7. I do have songs I like more than others but my mind is constantly changing and I feel like other songs will be offended if I leave them out......i'm not weird, i swear

14.  How do you start a conversation with someone you've never met?
I like to say the most normal thing, which is hello. Once that is over and done with, I introduce myself, cuz there is nothing more awkward then having to ask someone for their name. I then try to bring up a topic that may be fitting to the situation, and usually, it moves along smoothly after that ._.

15.  Favorite word
A few weeks ago I came to conclusion with what it was, but for some reason I can't remember what it was! UGH I think one of my favorites is "forever" I'm not quite sure why, I just like it. It sounds cool, and it's a very strong word. People overuse this word, a lot, and I think it should be more thought over. that didn't make any sense.

My Questions:
1. Last song you listened to?
2. Food you dislike with a strong passion?
3. If you could be granted one wish, but for YOURSELF (eg. not like world peace) what would it be?
4. Science Fiction or Fantasy?
5. What's the worst job in the world (in your opinion)?
6. Book you hated?
7. What do you drink most often?
8. How much time on average do you spend doing homework?
9. What do you find more appealing in school? Seeing friends, or learning?
10. Favorite piece of clothing you own?
11. What's one of your worst fears?
12. What Holiday do you NOT like?
12. Cooking or baking?
13. Do you prefer listening to music, or making the music?
14. If you could change your name to anything else, what would it be?
15. You were just offered a trip to the moon. What are the first 5 things you pack?

I NOMINATE

1. Kayla (whose blog I recently found and fell in love with)
2. The Fashion Cheetah
And
Anyone that read this post and takes the time to deal with my horrendous blogging schedule. ily<3

I hope you've enjoyed this post. One of my new year's resolutions is to blog more :)
Have a fantastic 2015!
